Giovannelli e Associati advised Ania F2i Fund on the acquisition of the majority stake in Compagnia Ferroviaria Italiana S.p.A., the leading italian independent operator in the rail freight transport. This is the first deal by the new Ania F2i Fund, the fourth fund managed by F2i Sgr. which enters a key sector for the support of the national production system while contributing the progressive decarbonisation of freight transport in Italy.
The team of Giovannelli e Associati was led by Alessandro Giovanelli and Laura Bernardi and comprised also Raffaele de Ruvo, of Counsel, associates Giulia Sannino, Lilia Montella and Matteo Bruni for the corporate aspects, Eugenio Romita for the tax related matters of the transaction and associates Antonello Lops, Dario Fedele and Gianluca Sica and of counsel Giuseppe Matarazzo for the labor matters.
