Giovannelli e Associati assisted SITRA Group, a Belgian transportation group, owned by the Saelens family and the Belgian PE fund Creafund, in the acquisition of Ricotto Group, an Italian logistics group specialized in food liquids and dry bulk.
Founded in 1965 by the Ricotto family, Ricotto Group nowadays employs more than 80 people and serves the most demanding multinational Food producers in Italy.
SITRA Group is one of Europe’s most prominent food logistics experts offering tailored and flexible logistic and supply chain solutions to its clients, employing almost 1,000 people. SITRA Group is active all over Europe with a presence in 11 countries.
Creafund is a Belgian private equity investor focusing on growth financing, as well as buy-out capital. Creafund’s portfolio companies (with total AUM of €250mln) all have a leading or unique and innovative product or technology and/or are active in sectors that can give opportunities for consolidation.
