Equipe del Casale SpA, a holding company controlled by Aksìa Capital VI (a fund managed by Aksìa SGR) together with Riello Investimenti SGR and the Gecchele family, which already holds the entire share capital of Il Fornaio del Casale SpA.,acquired Castelfood, owned by Gianni Rizzato (a company active in cereals, rice, and vegetable-based snacks, with a significant international presence and a positioning in the “better-for-you” segment), Figulì (a company focused on organic and gluten-free baked goods), and Dolciaria Pontevecchio (active in the traditional baked goods and cake sector).
The transaction led to the creation of the Equipe del Casale Group, a new leading Italian hub in the production and marketing of sweet and savory snacks and baked goods, formed through the integration of the three companies with Fornaio del Casale.
Giovannelli e Associati assisted Equipe del Casale on all the tax aspects, as well as the structuring of the acquisitions, with a team led by partner Diego De Francesco, counsel Andrea Tognon, and associate Manuel Bonechi.
